Ground Station
About
UASPACE built its own ground station to use for the BAMA-2 mission and future projects. BAMA-2’s ground station will interface with an open source network and is the primary resource for controlling, tracking and communicating with the satellite when it is in orbit.
Ground Station’s Main Activities
Send commands
The team will work with the Flight Software team to stimulate back-and-forth communication with the CubeSat and signal payload deployment.
Track BAMA-2
The team will build a ground station capable of tracking the orbital changes of BAMA-2 while it is in orbit.
Receive data
The ground station will receive telemetry from the satellite and collect data on the technology demonstration mission of the effectiveness of a drag sail to rapidly remove satellites from Low Earth Orbit.
